AWARDS​

​

All entry certificates are awarded to the Studio Director or Teacher. Overall recognition and medals will be given in the following five age groups in both the Skip! & Leap! LEVELS. 

At least 4 routines must be entered in each age group to award an entry certificate. Only the Leap! LEVEL is eligible for entry certificates.

AGE DIVISIONS:

​

• Petite: 8 years & under

​

• Junior: 9-11 years

 

• Teen: 12-14 years

 

• Senior: 15-19 years

 

• Adult: 20 years & over

  • Adult Skip! & Leap! levels are combined and must have at least 2 routines to be eligible to receive an overall award.

Top Overall Solo

• $75 entry certificate to the Soloist who receives the highest score. If a contestant performs two or more solos, only the highest scoring routine will place in the top overall awards.

​

Top Overall Duet/Trio

• $100 entry certificate will be awarded to the Duo/Trio that receives the highest score.

​

​

Top Overall Small Group

• $150 entry certificate will be awarded to the Small Group that receives the highest score.

​

​

Top Overall Large Group 

• $150 entry certificate will be awarded to the Large Group that receives the highest score.

​

​

Top Overall Line/Production

• $200 entry certificate will be awarded to the Line/Production that receives the highest score.

​

​

Top Scoring STAR Medallion

• A special medallion will be given to the highest scoring routine when there are at least two routines receiving 5 STARS in the same category and age division.

​

​

Leap! Outstanding Costume Award

• Leap! will present a costume award to any routine that the judging panel feels stands out and deserves recognition.

​

​

Judge's Leaps! & Bounds Awards

• Presented by the Judges for standout performance from all levels.

​

​

Outstanding Choreography Awards

• The Judges at the Group and Line Awards Ceremonies will present Choreography Awards. Teachers are invited on stage and recognized for their outstanding choreography.

​

​

Leap! Above Award

• Presented on behalf of Dynamic Dancer to a Petite or Junior soloist and a Teen or Senior soloist. This award is given to a dancer that performs with exceptional showmanship throughout their solo routine.

​

​

Leap! Beyond Award

• Presented on behalf of Dynamic Dancer to a Petite or Junior soloist and a Teen or Senior soloist. This award is given to a dancer that performs with outstanding execution and technique throughout their solo routine.

​

​

Reach For The Stars Award

• Presented by the Judges and Leap! Directors to a performance from the Skip! LEVEL. This award is given to a Soloist or Group that performs with potential plus performance.

​

​

Leap! High Point Award

• Presented by the Leap! Director to the highest scoring group/line routine for the entire weekend. Groups and Lines in any age group and category are eligible.

​

​

Quantum Leap! Award

• The Quantum Leap! Award will be presented by the judges and Leap! Directors to the routine deemed "Most Entertaining". Groups and Lines in any age group and category are eligible.

​

ADCC Studio Excellence Award

• Presented on behalf of the Association of Dance Competitions & Conventions to a studio that shows versatility by entering routines in many categories of dance. From tap and jazz to modern and clogging, this award goes to a studio that takes on the challenge of offering their students the opportunity to experience and excel in all areas of dance.
