Joe has been been stage managing for dance competitions for the last ten years. Before joining Leap! in its inception, Joe previously worked for Executive Director, Drew Vamosi, at BravO! National Dance and Talent Competition. For a time he worked for both companies concurrently, and operated as Production Assistant, Stage Manager, and Tour Director.
Now, as Senior Stage Manager, Joe oversees a wide variety of aspects of the competition. From drafting the show schedule, to managing the warehouse, he does it all! It was this versatility and knowledge of the inner workings of a competition that helped him win the A.D.C.C. Industry Award for Outstanding Stage Manager in 2015.
He's come a long way from printing programs and sweeping up around the home office ... although he still does a lot of sweeping.
