GET EVENT READY

Your LEAP weekend is getting closer!

Registration is wrapping up, and now it’s time to take care of a few final details before competition weekend.

At the top of the list?

Music.

Take a few minutes to log in to Dance Comp Genie, check your routines, and make sure your music is uploaded and ready to go.

One less thing to think about on competition weekend.

Your routine music should be uploaded through your online registration account before your event.

Before you call it complete, check each routine:

✓ Music is uploaded

✓ The correct file is attached to the correct routine

✓ The track is the final edited version

✓ The complete file plays correctly

LEAP TIP

Don't just check the filename- listen to it.

Open each uploaded track and give it a quick listen. Make sure it's the right version, starts where you expect, and plays all the way through.

BRING A BACKUP

Uploaded? Great. Now back it up.

Even with your music uploaded in advance, you'll still want your backup ready for competition weekend.

Current LEAP procedures require studios to bring a USB flash drive containing backup music to Studio Check-In.

CLOSING WEEK IS HERE

While you're in DCG, give everything one last look.

You've already completed your big registration review in Stop 05.

This isn't another full audit.

Just take one final pass while you're logged in:

Are your routines correct?

Are your routine names final?

Are your dancers attached correctly?

Are your competitive levels and categories correct?

Is all of your music uploaded?

If everything looks right, you're ready to move forward.

KNOW YOUR CLOSING DATE

One last deadline to keep on your radar.

Your Closing Date is an important milestone in your event timeline.

Check your event information for the exact Closing Date that applies to your LEAP city, and make sure any remaining registration or payment requirements are handled before it arrives.

WHAT HAPPENS AFTER REGISTRATION CLOSES?

This is where your LEAP weekend starts coming together.

Once registration closes and the final event information is in, our team can begin building the schedule around the studios and routines attending your event.

LEAP's current process provides a tentative event schedule approximately two weeks before the competition, followed by the studio-specific final schedule approximately one week before the event.
