Leading With A LEAP
Scholarship Program
LEAP’s Leading With A Leap program recognizes individuals (ages 17 -19) who excel both on and off stage. Individuals planning to further their dance education the semester following this year’s competition season are eligible to apply. The purpose of this program is to honor students that are not only exceptional in dance, but also generously donate their time and talents to make a positive impact within their community. Whether it’s their uplifting presence within the studio, dedication to a local charity, or exemplary performance in school, these students exhibit the highest level of work ethic, motivation, and kindness. These exceptional students serve as an inspiration through their ability to make everyone around them shine, and most importantly, will use the scholarship to further their dance education.
Regional winners will receive a Free Solo at our Nationals event, a $25 Gift Certificate to the Leap Boutique, and will automatically be entered in our National Leading With A Leap contest for a chance to win up to $10,000 in scholarships for continued dance education. Dancers, ages 17-19, must submit a completed application no later than 2 weeks prior to the start of the competition their studio will attend.
You will be required to submit all of the following:
• Leading With A LEAP Application
• Personal Essay or Video Submission
• A Letter of Recommendation
• High School Transcript
Spotlight Events Inc abides by a non-discrimination policy and decisions will not be influenced by gender, race, ethnic background, sexual orientation, or cultural and religious backgrounds.
Please submit only one application per event. Multiple students may apply from the same studio. Students may apply at multiple regional competitions of which they are attending but are only eligible to win at one regional competition per season. “Last Chance” applications will be accepted no later than June 1 of this year, for any dancer attending one our Nationals that would like to be considered for the final scholarships. Applications may be resubmitted for any non-winning nominee that wishes to be reconsidered for the “Last Chance” contest as well. Scholarship winnings will be submitted directly to winners’ institution of choice.

By placing a $500 deposit during our Five Star Pledge deposit window (Aug 01 – Sep 30), you’ll secure your space in the competition, unlock eligibility for all Leap discount programs, and gain access to our Loyalty Rewards Program — celebrating your dedication to dance and your commitment to Leap.
IMPORTANT PAYMENT POLICY UPDATE:
To help you better plan your season, we want to be transparent about an important update starting this year:
If full payment is not received by your event’s discount deadline, all discounts will be removed from your account.
In past seasons, some flexibility was possible — but beginning this year, this policy will be strictly enforced to ensure fairness and consistency across all Leap events.
If you’re participating in the Five Star Pledge Deposit Program, we strongly encourage you to mark your calendar with your city’s discount payment deadline (available on your event page) so you don’t miss out on valuable savings. We’re sharing this early so you have ample time to plan and make the best decision for your studio.

Club LEAP Loyalty Rewards Program:
Our Club LEAP Loyalty Rewards Program is designed to recognize your ongoing commitment to Leap National Dance Competition. Your passion for dance deserves to be celebrated — and now, it comes with extra perks!
HOW TO QUALIFY:
Registration fees must total $1,000 or more
Place your $500 deposit during the Five Star Pledge Program (Aug 1 – Sept 30)
Pay in full at least 39 days prior to your event
Savings Rate:
Take advantage of Leap’s Savings Rate and save approximately 15% off registration pricing when you pay in full 32 days prior to your event (or earlier).
Terms: Payment must be received in full by the Savings Rate deadline to qualify.
You must place your Five Star Pledge deposit to be eligible for this discount.
Pro Tip: Combine your Five Star Pledge with Savings Rate pricing to maximize your savings and secure your spot early!
